Harvest Journal Magazine

Harvest Jornal is a magazine proposed from a client of mine to the Ministry of Agriculture of Malaysia. The logo, name and the whole design look was done by me. Long story short, i hope there's some justice will happen for me in the future...Just like what people say, 'slow and steady wins the race'. Enjoy my work!

Get@car Performance Car of The Year 2008

Okay guys, lets take a break from photography and digital editing for a sec. Currently me and the get@car team is organizing an event at Putrajaya. It's called the get@car performance car of the year 2008. Different from other motoring events which showcased modified or tuned cars, we're going to test drive all the big ass supercars, expect a group of Lamborghinis and Ferraris burning tyres on the streets of Putrajaya where our selected judges will 'lenjan' all these supercars to determine which supercar is the best among the rest. The event will take place on the 8th August. Will be posting more infos and photos of my design and photography works soon!
the trophy for the winners. it's big and heavy and nice to put on the shelf hehe
the event's logo designed by me. Inspired by gatecrasher's logo

gangstarz group shot before taking a few weeks break

Hi guys…These are the top 6 groups for gangstarz. Me and Shahzeeq will not b shooting them few weeks after this due to another upcoming project with (hopefully) several fashion boutiques. Enjoy the photos!

elevator shoot with d'reborn. you can view the original background while browsing the last photo (Akasia
This is honestly, the first time i'm satisfied with Paragon Child's photo. Loved how the textures turned out. thanks paragonchild!
This is one of my favorites too. One Nation Emcees nailed this shot with their vibrant outfits (and hairdo too)! the original wall can be viewed through D'raz's photo. Thanks Anne (my gf) for helping me out with this photo!
3.5 nailed this shot as well. Not a fan of their outfits here but the photo turned out pretty well
D'raz. Their outfits saved them from blending with the background. i wish i have one of those cool boxes behind them!
Akasia. Simple editing. Didn't like their outfits from day one. Can't blame the stylist. You know why ;p

gangstarz (the following concert)

We're short of shooting spots, the halls, stairs, elevators...all taken. So, what me and Shahzeeq did was we shot at the same place and edit it in a different way. Manipulated the background and made it look different from the previous same spots. And it turned out pretty well. Enjoy the photos!
3.5. Managed to get a quick snap before they went backstage. Had to edit and change the background colour and details because honestly, the spot sucks.
D'reborn. I edited the stairs. Sounds simple? I wish.
Zaidi from One Nation Emcees. Had a hard time editing this photo because of the dull background at the beginning. Loved the reaction from him when we gave him this photo. He's happy with the photo and the TV3 crews said the picture looked like a Hulk's poster hehehehe
D'raz. Their outfits saved the photo. Enjoyed playing with the details, colour and facial editing
One Nation Emcees. At first i wanted this picture to be in b/w but i finally decided to mix it with important colours in the picture. Loved the end result.
Paragon Child. This is a tough one. The photoshoot went smooth until the editing part comes in. The gap between the toilets are actually wider, so i narrowed them and re-compose the photo so that it'll look nice as a finish work
3voices. The stairs again. But thank god it turned out okay

more gangstarz (the talent search show)

Sorry guys for the slightly late update. Had to finish my magazine work. I can't remember which concert these photos were taken, since every weekend me and shahzeeq wen't to shoot these guys. I hope you'll love the pics as much as i do. More photos and design work coming soon. Enjoy!
D'raz. Our first time shooting at the stairs. note that we didn't use any studio equipments, just Shahzeeq's Nikon D50. We were worried because the ceiling is so high, the flash wouldn't bounce well. But it turned out just fine after some touchups
D'reborn. One of our favourite groups. I hope that they'll look for me even after the show's over
Paragon Child. Editing was focussed on the background and the guys so that they are prominent in the photo
One Nation Emcees. Cool people. Malaysia rawks!
3 Voices. Mr. Faizal (head stylist of gangstarz) said this is his fav in the bunch

3.5. One person was missing in the picture. The middle person is Pow, she came all the way from the Phillipines just to support her friends. I'm satisfied with the end result of this picture especially when i changed the background colour, matching their outfits..and still make them look prominent in the photo

Volkswagen Golf R32

Here's a photo that i edited a few weeks back, photography by Adlin Yusman, for get@car magazine issue22. Below is a short article about the car that i took from the magazine. I just love the end result. I hope you like it too. Enjoy.

Almost RM100,000 per litre.

The Golf R32, Volkswagen flagship Golf powered by a 250bhp 3.2-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine, is finally made available here, almost two years since its official launch in Europe. Aesthetically, the new Golf R32 is quite distinct from the rest of the Golf range, even the GTI, featuring an aluminium full-length grille in place of the GTi's black item, centrally-positioned twin exhaust pipes protruding from a black central section of a deep rear apron, and a new front spoiler with aggressive air scoops. The slightly awkward looking Omanyt 18-inch alloys are unique to the R32 and gives it a reasonably muscular stance. We preferred the previous R32 rims, but as VW mentioned, all 2008 models will be fitted with the Omanyt 18s.  The R32 is already available at any Volkswagen appointed dealer and you should be seeing an extensive review of this mega Golf in the next few months. The Golf R32 retails at RM 302,618.50.

Quattro

As promised, here's the Gangstarz photos that me and shahzeeq did last weekend. The theme was ethnic and the contestants wore various types of clothes from various designers and sponsors to match the theme. That Sunday during the shoot, we gave some prints to the contestants and thank god they were pleased with our work. Note that the photos were taken at the hall where the fitting room is situated. We're not allowed to bring our studio lights so we shot them with whatever we have. And after some editing to enhance the features of each image, here u go. Somehow i feel that it's kinda lame to share some of the not-so-important infos about how we take our photos but for the sake of sharing, i hope you don't mind. Enjoy the photos!

South Trio (Malaysia)
Lya wore a creation from Hatta Dolmat and the others wore designer clothes from Elisa's Collection and Radzuan Radziwill

(Indonesia)
Their outfits are taken from their persoanal collection and the headgear for the guys (Balangkon) is from Istana Budaya

D'raz (Indonesia)
They wore clothes from Sub Zero and their own outfits, plus Accessories from SANDRA by Sandra Azwan

One Nation Emcees (Malaysia)
Their outfits are from Salikin Sidek, Rizalman Ibrahim. Accessories are from SANDRA by Sandra Azwan and OWL-Plaza Damas

Akasia (Malaysia)
Their traditional outfits are from Elisa's Collection. Accessories from Elisa's Collection and SANDRA by Sandra Azwan

Paragon Child (Phillipines)
Their outfits are from Sub Zero and Salikin Sidek

Step (Thailand)
These telented performers wore their own cool outfits from Thailand

Brown Tone (Singapore)
Their outfits are from their own personal collections

That's about it guys. Sorry there are a few more missing group pictures because some of them took so long fitting their outfits due to the complicated wardrobe, since the theme is Ethnic.
My special thanks to the very talented SANDRA by Sandra Azwan, assistant stylist for this season of Gangstarz. He helped me and Shahzeeq alot in giving us the contacts and list of sponsors & designers for the contestants' wardrobe.

Feel free to contact Sandra Azwan by visiting
or
Stay tuned for his upcoming cool designs soon!

Not to forget E'en and Kak Naza from Derina Touch for giving US the opportunity to getinvolved in this project.

And thank you people for supporting me ;)

nombor Tiga

Another artwork that was done by US. Thanks Keith (the model) for being a sport and E'en for helping us out with the makeups. This is one of the most complicated image that we worked with..plenty of layers and different locations. Some of the shoots are quite funny when i have to run around a hostel field topless with a red cloth to get an effect, and directing Keith to stand on a box perfectly matching the tower picture that we took somewhere in damansara uptown. Thank god that all the hard work pays off. Enjoy!

Sorry guys, it's been a while since i've posted my last entry. Anyways, things are pretty hectic lately. Currently i'm finishing my latest magazine design..get@car issue23. Previously was doing a company profile for a private jet company..will give you a sneak peek on the looks of the magazine as well as the company profile. No personal photoshoots as well for this month, so me and shahzeeq were all out with Gangstarz. Stay tuned for the Gangstarz photos!

number two

This is another piece that  me and shahzeeq did a few months back. Thank you Keith (the model) and E'een (the makeup artist) for helping us achieve this artwork. Two venues were involved in making this image work. The challenge of producing this image is to capture the fire which we did several days before Keith's photoshoot session, we made a human prop using wood and lit it up with kerosine. After we're done with both shoots, here comes the long hours of editing. I'm glad that the end result almost matched what i've imagined. My inspiration is from Alex Ross's paintings. Enjoy!

My second day with this blog, slill haven't got that 'writing groove yet'....hmpphh. Btw, there's a reason i posted this particular work here attatched in my second post. Recently i've encountered several minor problems dealing with people that think they're being concerned but little do they know, they are jeopardizing a long-term friendship that actually i care about. And dealing with people that doesn't see honesty in work ethics. Please change your way people, or in the near future you will not find any good person respecting you if you yourself always take things for granted and take advantage of other people's honesty in helping you out.

Ok, basicly there's a few more photos of my Keith project that i'll be posting later on, so stay tuned! In the meantime, i'll be posting some of the car photos that i've edited from various photographers that I'm working with in get@car magazine and some samples of my design works. Later!

Numero Uno

This is one of  my earliest project series with my photography studio -shahzeeqrafil- with the help of my partner/photographer, shahzeeq. Not to forget my thanks to the model, Keith and makeup artist, E'en. This photo was taken near my studio, since it's so hot and sunny in the afternoon..me and shahzeeq decided to shoot this photo at some random bush around our parking lot with no studio lights at all. After a full night editing the raw photo, i'm pleased with the end result ;) Enjoy!
(palms sweaty)
