car photography+digital editing+graphic+covers

Here's a compilation of car magazine covers that i did a couple of years back, during my previous job as a creative director for a publishing company. There were a total of 24 magazine covers representing 24 issues that i worked with the magazine since day one. The photographer that was involved in my artwork here is Mr. Jay Ismail, now famous for his fashion photography. Incase you are wondering on the work process, all the photos were shot on the streets or parking lots...we didn't have a state-of-the-art equipments or studio to shoot these luxurious cars, so all that we had was passion to make the photos look as professional as it can be. Shots were taken by Jay and I did the digital editing+concept cover art.

Mama's birthday dinner @ Bora Asmara 18/05/09

Ribuan kilo jalan yang kau tempuh
Lewati rintang untuk aku anakmu
Ibuku sayang masih terus berjalan
Walau tapak kaki penuh darah penuh nanah
Seperti udara kasih yang engkau berikan
Tak mampu ku membalas

Wrinkles are quite easy to apply to a photograph during manipulation, but the tricky part is to put them on the right spots or else the whole photo would look fake. Give it a try guys, i know i had fun with this piece. For learners, don't stick to ONLY one type of filter because different pictures needs different filters to blend in to the original photo. Special thanks to the one and only mr. Kukubesi for the original photo/task for me to work on.

D&A celebritystyle pt.10

I guess these are the last photos for the whole DNA's boutique promo photo batch. It's been a love/hate relationship everytime i ran myself into a job. Thank god most of them ended up with results that satisfies me. Oh ya, a reminder. Next fashion photography photos will be up early next month, as soon as SIEG magazine releases their latest issue. Stay tuned.

Here's another before/after photos taken from the editing/manipulation contest organized by mr. kukubesi i entered recently. In this piece, my attention is more towards details/colour enhancement rather than manipulation since the theme this time is less manipulation and more enhancement. Lotsa dodge n burn effects were used and not to forget my newly favourite tool, colour balance.

It gets harder each and everytime and i just love the challenge given by mr. KukuBesi. Haha not exactly...i had trouble thinking about what to edit this time because of the wide space given in this challenge's picture, more pressure came along when i saw other contestants starting to post their creative entries and still i can't figure out how to manipulate the photo until yesterday. A few days back i compiled 20 plus random reference photos from google and i combined them spontaniously, inspired by mutants from X-men origins movie that i watched recently. Whatever it is, i hope u like this entry *cross fingers*

X-treme sports 1 - wakeboarding

Got a phone call from my friend, Joseph Romey Dures the evening before...confirmed on the spot and the next day was filled with pure excitement! Together with us were Emi Watanabe (Joseph's girlfriend) and Mr. Koba-san ( Emi's client). The RM150 was worth every penny. Oh ya, happy belated Labour's Day ppl. Next activity, white water rafting...after my bodyache eases a bit.
